FCW TV Taping Results [Spoilers]
Posted by Ashish on 09.03.2010

Report by Michael Spears & PWInsider

Dark Match:

Titus O'Neill, Conrad Tanner & ??? defeated Big E. Langston, Rhys Ali & Devin Allen when O'Neill pinned Ali. This match was fast-paced and action packed.

Episode #1:

Bo Rotundo pinned Shad Gaspard. There are not many good things to say about this match. Bo and Shad didn't seem to click at all.

Wes Brisco pinned Jinder Mahal. This match was not very good either. FCW President Steve Keirn was observed yawning on multiple occasions while the match was going on. The finish was botched when head referee Justin King did not count Mahal's shoulders to the mat because they were obviously off the mat.

FCW Queen of Florida AJ Lee pinned Jamie Keyes. This was a decent match and it look as though Keyes had injured her left triceps but she appeared ok later in the evening.

FCW Florida Tag Team Champions Derrick Bateman & Johnny Curtis beat the Dudebusters to retain the titles when Curtis pinned Trent Barreta. FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion Mason Ryan attacked Curtis & Bateman after the match, busting Bateman open in the process.

Episode #2:

Brodus Clay, Eli Cottonwood, and Jackson Andrews beat Lucky Cannon in a 3-on-1 handicap match when Clay pinned Cannon. This match was initially a one-on-one contest between Clay and Cannon, but Cottonwood and Andrew were added by Maxine who had grown tired of Lucky's constant text messaging.

Richie Steamboat pinned Alex Riley. This was a pretty good match.

The Aksana Show featured FCW Florida Tag Team Champions Derrick Bateman & Johnny Curtis and it was announced that Bateman would have a non-title match later in the show against FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion Mason Ryan as payback for the attack during the previous episode.

Los Aviadores beat Husky Harris and Percy Watson when Epico pinned Watson. This match ended when Percy went to tag in Husky but instead got punched in the face, allowing Epico to hit a swanton bomb for the pinfall.

Derrick Bateman pinned FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion Mason Ryan in a non-title match after Ryan was distracted by Johnny Curtis. Bateman worked really hard in this match, but Ryan's limitations prevented this match from being anything better than ok.

Episode #3:

Eli Cottonwood & Jackson Andrews beat Xavier Woods & Bobby Dutch when Andrews pinned Dutch. This match was rather slow with the only thing watchable was Woods' bumping for the big men.

FCW Florida Divas Champion Naomi Night pinned FCW Queen of Florida AJ Lee in a Lumberjill Match. The lumberjills were Jamie Keyes, Wild Thing Ricki Vaughn, Aksana and Victoria Crawford's (Alicia Fox) sister. Night has improved tremendously over the past few months.

Wes Brisco pinned Jinder Mahal to win a triple threat match that included Jacob Novak. This match was terrible. Brisco won using the same finish WWE did at Survivor Series 1996 when Steve Austin had Bret Hart in a sleeper and Bret kicked off the turnbuckle and landed on Austin with Austin's shoulders on the mat for the three count.

Donny Marlow pinned Michael McGillicutty with a back slide. This match wasn't bad but the crowd was still dead from the triple threat match. McGillicutty has one hell of a dropkick.

FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion Mason Ryan pinned Johnny Curtis to retain the title. While the ref was knocked out, Curtis hit his finishing top-rope leg drop but no one was there to count the fall. Announcer Byron Saxton then came down the ring and hit Curtis while clenching a roll of quarters. The ref was revived and Ryan secured the pinfall.

Notes:

Byron Saxton & Abraham Washington did the announcing.

The crowd was nowhere near as full as it was while Florida's students were on their summer break.

Road Warrior Animal signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans prior to the event.

Wait wait wait, Steve Keirn is the president of FCW? Please tell me he does this in-character as The Skinner? Please please please?

So as the same two "entertainers" were in both matches that were deemed horrible who's fault is it? Also it wasnt a sleeper that stone cold had the hitman in, it was the million dollar dream, but what do i know i was only old enough to have seen it live.

In a side note, this is my problem with the internet these days(jesus did i really just type that?), to many young bucks who think they know everything.

Well I hope the divas can go since they about to get a spotlight on NXT.

Clearly a smark wrote this if they are refering to match that happened 14 years ago.

Souds like Lucky character continues to be a douchebag even when not on NXT.

I thought they dumped the no talent Brodus Clay last week? What's he still doing there? He has all the mobility and move sets of Hulk Hogan...that's not a good thing....that's a BAD thing!

"McGillicutty has one hell of a dropkick."

Worked out great for Randy Orton. Not so much for Maven.

AJ Lee is better than the majority of the current Divas on the main roster.

Naomi Night has also improved tremendously to the point that she totally surpasses her NXT mentor Kelly Kelly.

Deleted scenes from Guest#7682's comment....

"Back in my day, we paid for our pay per views instead of streaming them. We didn't understand this newfangled Interweb, and walked 25 miles to WWF shows through broken glass. And we LOVED it!"

Shut the fuck up already. Seriously..."what do i know i was only old enough to have seen it live".

Being "old enough" doesn't make you right (the Million Dollar Dream is a TYPE of sleeperhold, asshole) or smart (if you were something resembling smart, you'd have known that already), it just makes you old. And yes, I just quoted the movie "North". Don't fucking judge me.
